Hari minggu kemaren, gue dapet kesempatan musibah nonton film Cinta Setaman. Tadinya mo nonton Laskar Pelangi, tapi lagi-lagi (dan lagi), gue kehabisan tiket.. Mudah2an gue gak sampe ilfeel kayak pas film Ayat-Ayat Cinta. Saking seringnya gue dikecewakan oleh tiket yang habis, akhirnya sampe sekarang gue males nonton film itu, walaupun filenya sudah ada di Hard Disk komputer gue. Gue ngambek!
Berhubung karena pesaingnya adalah film Kutunggu Jandamu, jelas pilihan gue jatuh ke film Cinta Setaman. Ditambah melihat resensinya yang sekilas kayak film Love , dimana beberapa cerita pendek digabung menjadi satu-kesatuan cerita, membuat gue makin semangat untuk nonton.
Tapi apa daya, walau sudah ditemani gadis cantik nan menarik saat menontonnya, tetap saja tidak bisa menutupi tampang kecewa gue atas ekspetasi gue yang tinggi sebelumnya.
Secara garis besar, film terbagi dalam 8 cerita pendek. Ada yang saling berkaitan dan ada yang enggak.. Dari apa yang gue tangkep, masing2 film pendek tersebut adalah interpretasi dari pertanyaan; "Apa itu cinta?". Cinta gak selalu berkisar hubungan antara manusia dengan menusia, atau kalo lo rada sakit jiwa; antara manusia dengan hewan. Di film ini disampaikan kalo cinta itu bisa dalam berbagai bentuk. Dan bukan cuma cinta aja, tapi lengkap satu paket dengan; mimpi, cemburu, derita, keingintahuan, dsb.. Pokoknya sangat errr... filosofis..
Masalahnya adalah, karena saking filosofisnya, unsur hiburannya jadi agak berkurang.. Paling tidak buat gue yang cukup terhibur liat pertunjukan topeng monyet, nonton film Cinta Setaman bener2 bikin alis gue mengkerut.. dan bukan mengkerut karena dingin..
Gue pribadi gak suka film yang Open Ending, dalam arti penonton diberi kebebasan berimajinasi bagaimana para tokoh menyelesaikan konfliknya. Soalnya serasa "nggantung" endingnya.. Serasa gak tuntas.. Serasa gue ditipu karena nonton film yang blom jadi.. Dan itu yang terjadi pada film Cinta Setaman..
Beberapa film pendek tersebut juga terasa terlalu terburu-buru.. Beberapa karakter muncul tanpa ada penjelasan lebih lanjut.. Yang otomatis bikin gue bertanya2 dalam hati atau bertanya2 ke gadis cantik nan menarik yang duduk disebelah gue.. Konflik cerita juga rada aneh... rada maksa.. (Btw, ada yang tau apakah ikan arwana bisa dimakan? Soalnya ada adegan itu.. dan gue masih penasaran sampe sekarang, bias apa gak..)
Review kali ini kayaknya sangat pendek dan sangat tidak jelas, soalnya gue sendiri juga rada gak jelas apa yang ingin disampaikan oleh filmnya.. Semua serba nanggung.. Ingin filosofis, tapi gak kena sasaran.. Ingin artistik, tapi ada spesial efek yang mengganggu.. Ingin menggabungkan 8 cerita yang saling berkaitan tapi yang berkaitan cuma lokasinya atau karakternya kebetulan cuma kenal aja.. Pokoknya serba nanggung, deh..
Overall, untuk sebuah ide yang menarik tapi gak total saat dieksekusi membuat gue cuma memberi 2 bintang dari 5 bintang..
Film ini cocok untuk:
- Orang yang doyan nanggung-nanggung..
- Tertarik untuk beli buku Filosofi For Dummies..
- Kehabisan tiket Laskar Pelangi lagi-lagi (dan lagi)
- Gak ada pilihan lain selain Kutunggu Jandamu..
