Kebetulan, program S2 yang gue ikutin saat ini bentuknya adalah modular. Jadi mata kuliah yang seharusnya selesai dalam 1 semester, dipadatkan dan dimampatkan jadi bisa selesai dalam waktu 1 bulan. Jadi 1 bulan kuliah, 2 bulan kerja, 1 bulan kuliah, 2 bulan nyangkul.. dst.. dst.. Enak sih, jadi gak terlalu jenuh.. Tapi konsekunsinya, gue dalam 1 bulan ini kudu masuk kelas jam 7.30 pagi dan selesai kuliah jam 6.30 sore.Belum lagi kalo ada tugas nulis paper. Dan itu terus berlangsung dari hari senin sampe sabtu. Dan hari minggu dipake buat tidur total. Capek? Jelas!
Konsentrasi jurusan yang gue ambil adalah Perencanaan & Pengembangan Perumahan dan Permukiman. Dari 19 orang yang ada di kelas, gue satu2nya orang yang background pendidikan S1-nya super duper sangat tidak klop. Yang lain kebanyakan dari arsitektur, sipil dan planologi. Gue? Teknik Informatika! Jadilah gue dipanggil mahasiswa kesasar.
Di tengah2 para perawan komputer, gue menjadi satu-satunya ahli komputer yang mampu menciptakan (baca: download, install & setting) berbagai keajaiban digital, membuat diriku dielu-elukan bagai dewa wisnu (walau kayaknya lebih pas; dewa mabok).
Ada windows error; “wicak to the rescue!”.
Projector gak nyala; “sebut nama wicak 3 kali!”.
Winamp gak keluar suaranya; “hanya wicak jawabannya!”.
Gak bisa masukin gambar di Ms. Word; “wicak.. wicak di dinding.. Hap!”
Gak kuat ngangkat aqua galon; “kita panggilkan wicak.. kereta tak berkuda!”
Yah, pokoknya gue jadi IT-Man disana.. Dan untuk menjaga vitalitas dan daya tarik tubuh, setiap panggilan gue mematok tarif cemilan kacang atom, chitato atau sederajatnya..
Anyway.. seperti mahasiswa S2 lainnya yang berdedikasi penuh tanggung jawab, kebulatan tekad, semangat belajar yang tinggi maka gue yang cukup bebal ini turut belajar untuk mencapai prestasi setinggi pohon anthurium.
Gak percaya? Nih, dibawah ada foto gue lagi belajar serius sambil ditemani…
