Review: 40 Hari Bangkitnya Pocong

Liburan panjang kali ini sebenernya dibuka dengan niatan nonton Ayat Ayat Cinta, tapi malah jatuh kepelukan film Pocong. Dengan harapan penonton AAC sudah mulai surut, akhirnya gue dan adek gue berangkat ke Plaza Kalibata. Ternyata perkiraan gue salah besar, soalnya tiket AAC dah habis sampe pemutaran ke-3. Berhubung gue ogah disuruh nunggu sampe jam 4an, akhirnya diputuskan untuk nonton 40 Hari Bangkitnya Pocong.

Masih ada 45 menit lagi sebelum film dimulai, kita pergi ke KFC untuk ngisi perut dulu. Dan biasanya kalo perut penuh, efek mual dan eneg gak begitu terasa. Yah, kita cuma sekedar berjaga-jaga kalo film-nya ternyata jelek banget. Gak disangka pas mesen paket 1 yang isinya 2 ayam, nasi & coke, ternyata gue semuanya dapet 2 dada ayam dari yang seharusnya cuma dapet 1 dada & 1 paha ayam. "Wow.. This is my lucky day!". Gue makin pede untuk nonton Pocong..

Awalnya dah beberapa kali gue mo nonton ini film, mengingat pengalaman nonton Pocong 2 yang cukup menghibur. Tapi yang bikin gue gak jadi nonton itu karena yang main adalah si Rafi Ahmad dan Irwansyah. Entah atraksi apa yang akan ditunjukan oleh si Irwansyah. Mudah2an lebih menarik dari atraksi "mulut kotak" pacarnya .

Film dibuka dengan sebuah kecelakaan mobil yang spektakuler. Dengan kecepatan awal yang terlihat gak terlalu cepat, tapi mobilnya bisa mental, salto dan jungkir balik. Agak kurang masuk akal. But, hey.. This is horror movie, semuanya gak perlu masuk akal. Tampilan dengan warna agak hitam putih campur sephia yang keliatan warna kuningnya kayak kelunturan kunyit, mewarnai adegan pembuka ini, yang biasanya menandakan bahwa adegan tersebut terjadi di masa lalu.

Adegan berganti, berganti dan berganti.. ternyata hampir seluruh film ini warnanya memang dibuat begitu, kucel. Bener2 gak sedap dipandang. Kalo mo sephia, ya sephia aja.. Kalo mo hitam-putih, ya hitam -putih aja.. Jangan dicampur2.. kesannya jadi kayak gak punya budget buat beli kamera yang bagusan dikit. Okelah kalo beralasan pengen "meningkatkan mood" penonton, sayangnya setelah melihat warna yang gak karuan, mood gue jadi pengen nyodok lobang pantat orang yang memutuskan untuk bikin warna tersebut pake timun... Mudah2an kekecewaan berikutnya gue gak pengen ganti timun pake duren..

Kalo di Pocong 2 ada si Revalina, kali ini pemeran ceweknya si Sabai Morsek. (Gue sempet salah baca, kirain "Jablai") Kalo ada Sandra Dewi yang sekilas mirip si Dian Sastro, menurut gue si Sabai Morsek sekilas mirip si Luna Maya lg kejepit pintu. Soalnya sepanjang film matanya melotot terus.. Nyeremin tapi tetep cantik..

Yang jelas menggangu buat gue adalah beberapa dialog yang dipake. jadi ceritanya si Sabai adalah teknisi komputer yang dateng kerumahnya si Irwansyah. Pas pintu dibuka oleh si Irwansyah, "Hai! Kevin ada? Gue mo betulin komputernya". Nah, apakah pantes ngomong "lo-gue" ke customer yang baru lo kenal, meskipun umurnya terlihat sepantar? Jelas tidak pantas! Kalo dia jadi bawahan gue, siap2 aja gue pecat dan gue jadiin istri ke-2 gue..!! Huh!

Untuk soal akting, si Sabai ini sangat gak pas jadi Teknisi Komputer. (Lo bakal ngerti maksud gue kalo lo tetep nekad noton film ini). Selain itu, aktingnya juga monoton.. gitu-gitu aja.. agak datar.. Apalagi ekspresinya juga sama.. Matanya melotot terus.. Marah: melotot..! Takut: Melotot..! Nangis: Entah gimana caranya; melotot! Nahan kentut: dijamin; melotot!

Akting si Irwansyah juga biasa aja.. datar.. Gak kayak orang stress ditinggal mati keluarganya.. Tapi gue agak kaget juga ngeliat akting si Raffi.. Terus terang gue awalanya ~~rada~~ sangat pesimis.. Tapi gue cukup puas, terutama kalo pas dia akting kaget atau ketakutan... Gue bener2 ngerasa kalo dia emang kaget atau takut beneran.. Sebab penting banget yang namanya akting takut di sebuah film horor.. Bagai sop tanpa air..

Untuk soal suara.. Hmm.. biasa aja.. semuanya terdengar jelas apa yang diucapkan.. Kalo sountrack/sound illustration, seinget gue gak ada.. walaupun ada, gak cukup bagus untuk diinget.. Sound effectnya kayaknya sih pas.. gak berlebihan kayak sinetron yang semua adegan ada suara "Creeeesss!!" atau "Jreeeeeeng!!"...

Nah, sekarang kita bahas soal Hantu-nya... Ada 3 jenis Hantu di film ini; Pocong, Kunti & Hantu- setengah- badan- yang- gue- gak- tau- istilahnya- apa. Pemunculan hantu di film ini menurut gue sih ada beberapa yang... hmm.. inovatif.. Ada beberapa adegan pemunculan yang bikin gue jadi takut beneran. Gak cuma sekedar ngagetin. Yang gue acungin jempol adalah adegan pas si Sabai ada dirumahnya dan mati lampu. Apa yang bakal lo lakukan di tempat yang gelap tanpa senter dan cuma ada HP? Yup! Lo kemungkinan bakal nyalain backlight HP yang remang2 untuk bisa ngeliat. Nah, lampu yang remang2 dan tiap beberapa kali mati itu yang bikin serem. Bayangin aja, gelap total.. lampu backlight HP yang remang2 dan tiap beberapa menit mati.. Ada putih2 di pojokan, tapi gak cukup jelas untuk bisa di identifikasi.. Hiii.. Adegan lain yang cukup bikin serem adalah ada suara "kriiiiiiit... kriiiiiit...".. berdecit.. dari arah jendela.. Pas dilihat ternyata ada kunti yang mengintip, lagi ngegesek kaca jendela dengan kuku jarinya yang panjang.. Serem? Ya! Paling tidak buat gue yang ketawa2 pas nonton film Pulau Hantu .

Untuk soal cerita... Hmm.. What can i say... datar.. membosankan... mudah ditebak.. singkat... Pokoknya sama sekali tidak yang istimewa.. Beda dengan Pocong 2 yang agak sedikit belok-belok ceritanya.. Yang paling gue gak ngerti adalah judul 40 Hari Bangkitnya Pocong bener2 gak singkron dengan ceritanya.. Pas filmnya habis, adek gue langsung nanya ke gue; "Loh, apa hubungannya sama 40 Hari? Gak nyambung nih!". Gue jawab, "Mungkin butuh 40 hari untuk ngelunasin hutang pembuatan film-nya" atau "Mungkin butuh 40 hari untuk sembuh dari sodokan timun gue".

Overall.. untuk sebuah film horor, 40 Hari Bangkitnya Pocong cukup inovatif dalam "mempertontonkan" hantu-hantunya.. Gak terlalu "vulgar" tampilan hantunya.. Cerita yang dalamnya cuma se-mata kaki ini, bener2 bikin film ini mengecewakan.. Untungnya durasi film gak terlalu lama jadi kalo pas masuk dalam keadaan kenyang, dijamin pas keluar gak mual2 atau eneg.. Artisnya cantik.. Tapi kayaknya perlu latihan akting lagi.. Aktornya sih biasa aja.. Thumbs up untuk si Raffi atas akting kaget & ketakutannya.. Mungkin ini adalah hasil latihan akting tidur selama 40 hari di kuburan..

40 Hari Bangkitnya Pocong gue kasih 2 bintang dari 5 bintang. Filmnya sih cuma dapet 0.5 bintang, tapi dapet tambahan 1 bintang untuk teknik pemunculan2 hantunya yang menyeramkan.. 0.25 bintang untuk akting ketakutannya si Raffi.. dan 0.25 bintang untuk si Sabai pas gak melotot..
Inovatif di beberapa bagian, tapi secara keseluruhan kurang "menggigit" untuk sebuah film horor.

Film ini cocok untuk orang2 yang:
- Die Hard Fans-nya si Rudi Soedjarwo.
- Die Hard Fans-nya pocong.
- Pengen liat cewe cantik melotot-melotot.
- Bete gara2 kehabisan tiket melulu pas mo nonton Ayat Ayat Cinta.
- Siap ngeluarin duit lebih untuk makan dulu, biar gak mual/eneg pas nonton.
